Some people are calling it the morning meal take over as Dunkin and Baskin Robbins, the brand that America runs on has been eyed for purchase by a financial group Inspire who also owns the food chains buffalo wild wing, Jimmy Johns and Arby’s. The potential purchase price is said to be valued around $9 Billion dollars and my question is why sell? On the east coast you can drive through a town without driving past at least 5 Dunkin especially in the New England area.
Even during the pandemic the sales numbers are strong as the contactless method continues to work for the consumers and one thing that some people need on a daily basis other than air to function is coffee. The acquisition of Dunkin and Baskin Robbins would create a well rounded portfolio of eateries for anytime meals.
